I love nature and I often find answers there. Every once in a while we become tired of how complicated life can be and fail to look deeper at the little things we see in our daily lives. We don't see the wood for the trees. It is important to take that time to look deeper and to try and make sense of the inner picture, the magnified look. Just as this piece of bark has an inner life, workings beyond our comprehension, so we need to also do the same and look a little deeper. The rough comes with the smooth but they are all interconnected and have an effect on one another. As one part is stressed another relaxes to compensate. As with this bark the colours contrast but complement and create a harmony as they fit together and create a beauty beyond understanding. The next time your world seems upside down and all over the place, take the time to look deeper at some of the elements and you might be surprised at what you find - how it all fits together to make a whole.
